Iron ore is a mineral widely found in rock format from which metallic iron could be extracted.

Iron ore is a mineral widely found in rock format from which metallic iron could be extracted. Iron ore is rich in iron oxide and varies in colour from dark gray, bright yellow, deep purple to rusty red. It could be found in forms of magnetite, hematite, goethite, limonite or siderite.

Iron ore is the main raw material used to make pig iron which then is used as one of the main ingredients in steel making. 98% of the mined iron ore is used to make steel and due to such importance it is one of the vital ingredients in global economy and its growth after commodities such as oil.

Kallier Mining operates on multiple iron ore sites which consist of magnetite and hematite types of iron ore. The sites are located across the north western, eastern, central and southern part of Iran.
